Marilyn R. Krohn passed at the age of 85 in Bend, where she moved two years ago to be close to her children.
She was born and raised in Iowa and Nebraska but since her marriage to Marlowe I. Krohn in 1947 the couple lived and raised their family in the Salem/Keizer area. Marlowe preceded Marilyn in death on Oct. 16, 2008.

In addition to her children, Marilyn is survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren who all live in the greater Salem/Keizer and Portland areas.
Marilyn enjoyed her role as mother to her children and all their friends and was the “Donna Reed” homemaker of the neighborhood. For a time while the children were in school she was very active, becoming president of the Willamette Valley chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She worked for 12 years as the attendance secretary for Cascade Junior and Senior High Schools. She was a past member of Faith Lutheran Church in Keizer and for many years sang in the choir.
She was a kind and generous person who always had a smile. She will be missed by her children and grandchildren.
