A hearings officer has approved plans for a new 54-lot subdivision off Windsor Island Road.

The decision by Cynthia Domas, dated Aug. 5, followed a July 11 public hearing on the matter.

RPB Holdings LLC has proposed turning an 8.49 acre parcel into 54 single family homes. A new street – proposed to be Stacey Lee Drive – is to be constructed, stretching from Windsor Island Road to Willow Leaf Street.

The approval came despite more than two dozen comments against the project, both in the form of written letters and during last month’s hearing.

“It is hereby found that applicant has met the burden of proving the applicable standards and criteria for approval of the subdivision upon satisfying the following conditions, which shall be completed, including review and approval by the appropriate department, prior to the timelines outlined below,” Domas wrote. “Compliance with the conditions of approval shall be the sole responsibility of the applicants and/or property owner.”
