Police took a 10-year-old girl into protective custody and arrested two people accused of selling methamphetamine and heroin out of a home on Modoc Drive NE.

Keizer Police served a search warrant on 1767 Modoc Drive NE at about 7 a.m. Thursday morning after investigating possible drug sales out of the home for several months.

At least four adults, plus a child of one of the suspects, were home when officers served their search warrant. One suspect told officers he had at least 20 regular customers.

Police found several swords along with dozens of used and new needles, a small amount of heroin, scales and packaging materials.

Authorities started their investigation after neighbors complained of possible drug sales from the home. Additional charges could be forthcoming, said Sgt. Bob Trump. Both lived at the home in Keizer.

Arrested were:

• Chad Michael Bevans, 34, six counts of delivery of a controlled substance, three of which are within 1,000 feet of a school, six counts of possessing a controlled substance and two counts of endangering welfare of a minor. Total bail: $490,000.
• Jennifer Chantyl Belcher, 38, one count each of possessing and delivering controlled substance, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Total bail: $90,000.
