Mr. Baltz, of Keizer, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012. He was 82.
Born Nov. 16, 1929 in Portland to Arthur William and Agnes Donaca Baltz, he served in the U.S. Navy’s submarine service for 20 years. After his honorable discharge he performed military-related consulting and also worked in real estate, computer service and automobile sales.
He was preceded in death by his son, David. Survivors include: his wife, Beth Hartley Baltz; children, Ginger Boykin and A.J. (Susan) Baltz; sister, Charolette (Byron) Wareham of Fortuna, Calif.; cousin, Gloria (Dick) Jacoby of Omaha, Neb.; sister and brother-in-aw, Virginia and Emergy Karst; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers,the family asks Mr. Baltz’s memory be honored by donating to a favorite charity, spending time with family or thanking a serviceman or woman.
