Voters have resoundingly rejected a local ballot measure which would have established a public safety communications fee.
While less than half of results have been reported thus far, initial returns show a four-to-one landslide against the $4.86 fee.
Results released by the Marion County Clerk’s office show 5,898 voting against Measure 24-324, with 1,471 voting in favor.
More returns are expected to be released at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
