After a rough go-round with work in the construction industry, Matt Croxford decided it was time for a change.
“I did construction, welding, layoff, layoff, layoff. I had some buddies who went to get their license to cut hair and seemed to do pretty well, so I followed in their footsteps,” Croxford said.
He opened The Chop Shop Barbershop, at 3493 River Road N., on Tuesday, Aug. 16, after his chair was delivered.
“The nice thing about it is I’m now the one in control of my environment, I’ve got air conditioning in the summer, heat in the winter and ESPN on the television,” he said.
