Ms. Meisner, of Aumsville, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 after a 14-year battle with brain cancer. She was 33.
Born Sept. 22, 1977 in Madras to John and Elaine (Cannon) Misener, she grew up on the family ranch in Twickenham, Ore. and attended elementary and high school in Mitchell. She taught at Centennial Elementary in Scio after earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Western Baptist College (Corban College) in Salem.
An active member of Mt. View Wesleyan Church in Aumsville, she enjoyed walking marathons with friends, fishing, spending time with family – particularly three-year-old daughter Ashley – and singing.
Survivors include: her husband, Adam Meisner; daughter, Ashley of Aumsville; parents, John and Elaine Misener of Keizer; two sisters, Karen Wilcke (Ken, Kailey & Kenna) of Keizer; Lindsey Smith (Mike, Rylie and Colby) of Keizer; brother, Tim Misener of Mitchell; and grandparents, Dwight and Martha Cannon of Lebanon.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the Mitchell School Gym in Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of Ashley Meisner at any Umpqua Bank.
