A convenience store in south Keizer was robbed at gunpoint Monday night.

Authorities think the same man also robbed a west Salem convenience store just 17 minutes later.

Keizer Police said a man walked into the 7 Eleven at 4380 River Road N. at 11:40 p.m. Monday night, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. He got “a small sum of money” from the register, Keizer Police Sgt. Jeff Goodman said, and fled. He was last seen running around the east side of the business, police said.

The suspect was not apprehended despite a perimeter search and a police canine track. The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 20s, 5’11” tall and 160-170 pounds. He was wearing a white bandana at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Keizer Police at 503-390-3713.
