To the Editor:

This is probably a bit late, but here’s what I think: A very important part of the big box debate has been overlooked.  Everyone claims to be representing the community, but has the community truly been asked?

Maybe the question that needs to be put out is what type of business/businesses we feel Keizer would benefit from.  Putting a store or business that will only be frequented by a small percentage is only going to leave us with yet another empty building.  Even offering a selection of company names that have shown interest, or a request for type of business needed/desired, in a poll to the community, would be more informative in decision making than what square footage we want on a ballot.
