KYSA (Keizer Youth Sports Association) provides baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 5 – 14.
KYSA is proud to offer the largest youth baseball and softball program in Keizer. We have nearly 800 kids and families participating in our program every year. Additionally, between our Interlock softball league, JBO league, and numerous baseball and softball tournaments that we host, a large number of non-Keizer folks visit our park and our city each year, bringing more business to the local businesses.
KYSA provides a wholesome and positive environment for youth to participate in baseball and softball activities. We strive to provide opportunities for personal growth and player development of young athletes at all skill levels. We promote team work and help build self esteem for kids to excel both on and off the field. We promote good sportsmanship with a competitive spirit.
One of the high points for us was our 10U Keizer Lady Celt softball team winning the Oregon ASA State Championship.
We have made a lot of improvements to the ballpark over the last three years but have many more projects that need to be accomplished. We are actively pursuing sponsorships, grants, and any other assistance we can get to see these projects come to fruition. We also are still in the process of recovering from a series of break-ins and vandalism that occurred near the end of December.
KYSA is a non-profit organization that relies on the help of volunteers to keep the complex and the program running smoothly. We need to generate funding to help make improvements to the complex and to the program in general. Our fund raiser this year will be our kids selling discount cards that include multiuse discounts at 15 local businesses. We also receive financial support from our generous sponsors.
