Capitol Auto Group will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new location on the Salem Parkway at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 12.

All three Capitol stores—Chevrolet/Cadillac, Toyota Scion and Subaru—will move from the present Mission Street location to its new 20-acre campus now under construction between Cherry Avenue and Broadway Street.

“This is an extraordinarily exciting adventure of the Capitol family,” said company president Scott Casebeer in a news release. “It signals our faith in this community and with our customers.”

Construction of the Capitol Auto Group complex is estimated to be completed by December, 2011. It has been at its current location since the 1970s and employs about 200 people.
