A local entertainment company is bringing a rock festival to Keizer Rapids Park this summer.

It’s the second year for KTR Entertainment’s show at Keizer Rapids Park, but this year it’s been deemed the Valley Summer Rockfest ’10.

The show starts at noon Saturday, July 24, and features eight local and regional bands playing until about 9 p.m.

Tickets are $8 in advance through TicketsWest or $10 at the door. An at-the-door $2 discount is available  with a military ID or for two cans of food, which will be donated to the Jubilee Food Pantry.

The show is headlined by Falling Closer of Portland. Local bands include KTR, Almost Friday, Sandvig and Groove Thief, while regional acts Amadan, Dead City Sunday and We Are The Arsenal will also be featured.

The event will also include a rock climbing wall courtesy of the Oregon National Guard, a halo jumper, the Farm Project Lab, and free Rockstar drinks and merchandise. Crossfit Salem will be there with demonstrations, and Ransack Radio will be podcasting live, with interviews from local bands.

Food will be available on-site, as will beer courtesy of the McMenamin’s Beer Garden.
